This Hamptons-based architect chose to go beyond just renovating an existing 1970's Cape Code home, and added on an additional 3,000 sq. ft. of living and working space...accomodating a number of personal requisites. A new architect's studio, new master suite, as well as expanded storage and living spaces were created into the re-design. All elements of this renovation/addition were designed on a very sophisticated Modern pallet, and employed extraordinary detailing, finishes, and materials throughout. Within its classic clean lines, form appropriately following function, an added twist was incorporated here and there into its overall applications. For instance, the glass garage door located in the master suite effectively opens up the entire room to the outdoor living space, with just a touch of a button. Included in its construction are 2 natural stone fireplaces...one inside and the other out, a stone outdoor shower, and a barn designed on the Modern motif.
